Based on the title of this blog I bet you can guess where this is going…
Well….before you think too much let me break this down. A gift is something that is given to you from someone else because they care about you, right? Talent is a skill that you are good at, right? Work, is what you do to make money, right?
With just these three simple descriptions of gifts, talents and work, what are thinking right now?
Now, this looks different for each individual. Some people wake up everyday and do what they love and this pays the bills. Others wake up and go to work then participate in other activities that they love. Most people that are doing what they love are using their gifts and talents. Lastly, some people wake up and work just to pay the bills. Their gifts and talents are not being utilized at all.
Now, which one are you?
I truly believe that gifts and talents are given to us to use them. My belief is, God gives us gifts and talents because he cares for us and he wants us to have a successful life. The gifts that we are given are given to us for a reason. Finding out what reason you were given your gift(s) is a journey. Will you take that journey or continue just existing? Check out James 1:17 and Proverbs 18:16!
Having a career and working is a big part of survival. It is important to realize that we can live an amazing life using our gifts and talents. Now, I am still learning how to utilize my gifts and talents each day. I have made the decision to live a successful life, utilize my gifts and talents and do what I love daily!
