Unplug…

Taking a plug out of the socket is necessary sometimes. Detaching your electronic item from electricity which gives it power is needed. For example, if you are using an iron and you finish ironing. Most of us cut it off and unplug it.

I took a moment to reflect and realized my attention was extremely focused on one area of my life and I was missing out on another. I was getting so much fuel from one place that I didn’t gas up the other. Have you found yourself in that place before?

Recently, I realized I had to unplug. I decided to unplug from a source that I allowed to give me energy. It was electrifying me so much that I had to unplug. I realized I had to gain true energy from a higher source.

Where your energy comes from matters. My higher source of energy has to come from God. I can’t get outside of God and plug into my own energy source. I had to learn that the hard way. This transition allowed me to see that my focus has to be placed in the right place. I can’t shift from the path. I can’t choose another source to give me power.

My strength is always powered by God. Deciding to power up on my own always leaves me deem in the end. I run out of energy.

So, yes I had to unplug. I took a step back and analyzed my life. I plugged back into the power that illuminates my path. I plugged back into God fully. No more distractions. I won’t get in the way of my own destiny anymore. I won’t allow my personal ambitions to fuel me. I won’t allow anyone to knock me off track. I can clearly see the path God has for me. I will trust it. I am all in.

  1. Love this. So very true! Sometimes you have to unplug your TV to restart it, or even you internet router. Those free moments to unplug can restart and recharge your life for better.
