My Yes Matters

The answer yes is significant. Some examples of significant yeses are saying yes to the dress, saying yes to a new job offer, saying yes to marrying your spouse, saying yes to a new home, the examples could go on and on. There are also instances when we say yes to things that were not meant for us to accept. A no matters too but that is a whole other blog. Let us focus on your yes!

My yes matters! My life has been a whirlwind of acceptance. Yes is an acceptance or an agreement to something. Looking back over my yeses I can see the flaws and the successes. Take an analysis of yourself and review your yeses. Were your acceptances and agreements beneficial? Did your yeses cause you more problems?

There are some areas in my life that my yeses caused me problems. I came in agreement with things that were contradicting to who I really am. I allowed these yeses to stop me from my real yes. I got accustomed to living a life in agreement with my poor decisions. There was always justification for my yeses even though I knew I was wrong.

There is beauty to my poor choices. All the things I was in agreement with lead me to the yes that mattered the most. That yes for me was rededicating my life back to God. This time my yes matters! This agreement matters! This acceptance matters! My yes comes with standards now! My yes includes more faith now! My yes is full of confidence and boldness now! My yes speaks to my legacy now! My yes cancels out all the negative lies that I told myself! My yes comes with guidance and counsel now! My yes may not have been perfect but my yes matters now!

Your yes matters! Self reflect and ask yourself what have I said yes too? Was this yes a quality yes? Or was this yes a poor choice? Who influenced this yes? Was it me? Was it someone else’s yes for me? Why did you say yes? And does this yes matter?

My yes matters! Does yours?
