Yes, another one. In life we tend to make a lot of mistakes. As I watch my son grow and develop I realize that mistakes are a part of the process. My son seems fearless. He will try anything and learn from his choices. There are decisions he makes that his father and I have to correct. His mistakes matter. These choices make him wiser.
I have made so many mistakes. Actually, I have made repeat mistakes. My intentions are to make better choices but I am not always successful. Mistakes are a part of my faith process.
Each mistake matters. God used my choices to teach me lessons, help others and push me to trust Him. There were days when I thought my mistakes were too big or unforgivable. Gods love, mercy, grace and forgiveness showed me that my mistakes were just right for Him. God wanted me to come to him each time I messed up. Just like a parent, God helped me through it.
Last year I rededicated my life back to God. During my backslider phase I had my son. When I came back to God I had to accept Gods love for me in this area. I grew up in church and didn’t plan on having a child before marriage but it happened. I learned that my son was meant to be born. He had to come to this earth right when God wanted him to. Once I saw pass my decision I saw that God was in control. He forgave me and gave me a life to look after. What a blessing to be trusted with a child. My son was not a mistake or a bad choice he was a gift from God.
Take a moment to think over the mistakes you made in your life. I bet there is something God wants to teach you. Or your mistake can help someone else. There is beauty in all the bad choices we make. Your mistakes matter. Yes, you made a mistake again but it’s never too big or unforgivable. God can turn your mistake into a miracle.
Your mistakes matter!
