I Choose Love

When I hear the word love my mind goes many places. I think of my love for God, family, friends and my significant other. There is love for food, a pet, your favorite restaurant, etc. Feeling and receiving love is amazing.

I am constantly learning how to allow myself to feel love. Gods love teaches me how to love myself, others and Him. There are so many layers to love. I learned that while studying 1 Corinthians 13 in the Bible.

Pain happens but I still choose to love God, myself and others. The pain doesn’t feel good but the cycle of love makes the healing process all worth it. Running to God during the worst parts of my life has shown me what love looks like. His love covers all my short comings and pain.

I found love in the most miraculous way. I found it in God. Now I can love my son, my family, my significant other, my enemies, and others the way they need love. This kind of life is a sacrifice. I take a chance at getting hurt when I love but I choose to love regardless.

Love matters and it is needed. I desire it and I want to give it. I deserve love and others deserve genuine love. My hearts desire is for love to continue in my life forever. God is forever in my life so I can feel love forever. I choose love.

His love endures forever… Psalm 136
