Prayer…

As a child I was exposed to prayer at a very young age. It was a part of my families culture. Prayer in the morning, before bedtime and before meals.

My family even gathered and held hands to pray often. Prayer was so common in our household. It was a routine.

As an adult I have implemented this with my family. I pray in the morning, before bedtime and before meals. We also pray together whenever we need to touch and agree on something.

As you can see prayer is major in my life. As a mother with a family of my own now I have learned that prayer is a choice. As a child I did not have a choice to pray or not to pray. It was required.

Now I have to consciously make a decision to pray for myself and with my family. I no longer have my parents making me do it.

Another major piece to praying as an adult is actually having the faith that goes along with the prayer. I am praying and believing God for me and my family now.

Prayer is a choice and I had to decide to believe in all the things my parents taught me. The routine of prayer as a child shaped my prayer life today.

Prayer and faith is a choice. I had to choose to believe that prayer meant something beyond the routine I experienced growing up. I had to see it change things and make an impact on my personal life.

So now I can truly say prayer works!

  1. Prayer is a choice and a relief 😌 for me as it allows me to lay my burdens down and give it to God. Faith something that I try to hold dearly to my heart ♥ because it is a small piece of mustard seed that is ALL that he asks. Yes, you are right it is all a CHOICE that we have to make when we BELIEVE and TRUST. It can be hard to just say, “YES!”
