November 9, 2023, I officially became a mommy of two beautiful children. One boy, age two and now a one month old daughter. She will be two months very soon.
Reality set in when I arrived home with my newborn two days after her birth. I walked back into my home and embraced my son who was so happy to see me. It all hit me in that moment.
I felt prepared for this new adventure. Then I realized, this is completely different. As a previous mother of one child I felt content with my mommy skills. Now I am being pushed to learn even more.
Full transparency, my biggest challenge is giving both children the attention they both need. My newborn needs so much TLC right now. My son needs help with his toddler transitions and his emotions. He wants his parent’s attention all to himself and is learning how to be more independent.
Everyday I learn a new way to give them both what they need and divide my time properly. Everyday is a new lesson as a mom of two.
Giving myself grace, goals and the go is my motto. I am determined to be the best version of myself so I can give the best to my family.
Sometimes I am still in disbelief that I am a mom of two but I embrace it and I love it! Let’s go! I got this! Lisa Sophia is officially a mom of two!
