Being a girl mom is new for me. I was blessed to have a daughter November 9, 2023. My daughter is almost two months old.
My experience as a girl mom is minimal but I have learned so much already. When she looks at me she is looking for guidance and inspiration. She sees a role model.
Having a daughter motivates me to become a better woman. I made a lot of mistakes growing up. I do not want her to repeat the cycle. It is my job to break the cycles and lead her properly.
Being a role model is one of the most motivating feelings. I have to be an example that helps my daughter. When she looks into my eyes I begin to self reflect. She pushes me to correct old habits, love harder and to grow.
I am grooming my daughter into the woman she is meant to be. What a powerful role. As her mother I have to show her a life that’s worth living.
Little girls learn so much from their mother. I learned a lot from my mother. Somethings she taught me and others I observed. This is my position now. My goal is to show my children God. My journey with God is the imprint I want my daughter and son to see.
As I grow older I am learning to appreciate the godly journey my mother showed me. I now understand how she managed to do all she did for myself and my siblings. God helped her.
I plan to exemplify this light as well. I know I still have a lot to learn as a parent but I look forward to it.
