Unity

There is power in unity. The best example of unity is found in the book of Genesis 11:1-9. This is the story of the Tower of Babel. The people came together speaking the same language and planned to build a tower to heaven.

They were unified and so driven to touch heaven. Their goal was not obtained because their speech was scattered. God had to intervene because the people were so unified.

This type of unity is hard to find. Typically there is disconnect, division and separation within groups. There are a lot of selfish desires which can prevent an end result. True unity takes self reflection and commitment.

A good teammate has to know their worth and how their strengths help the team. You have to know when to shine and when to let others shine. A good teammate is a listener, a follower and a leader.

I have years of management experience. I led several teams. Each team dynamic was different. One thing that helped my employees function better is unity. Whenever we were not on the same page there was always issues.

There are so many things that can cause a team to loose sight of their end goal. As an individual I believe you always have to take a look at yourself. Ask yourself questions like; am I a good teammate? Do I help unify or do I cause division? Am I making the end goal challenging?

Unity makes a huge impact. I believe the world needs more unity. There is so much division in the world. We need unity.

Unity…
