Natural Birth

I chose to give birth to my daughter naturally. This was one of the best experiences in my life. It took me a while to write about this because I was literally at a loss for words.

I could not have accomplished the birth of my daughter without the help of my amazing Doula and future husband. We made a great team!

I was required to get induced. Little did I know that I was already having contractions when I arrived. My daughter was planning to make her arrival anyway. We labored for about eight hours. I pushed her out with three pushes.

I was blessed to give birth to my daughter with no medicine at all. A medicine free delivery is a big deal! I handled the contractions like a professional. My breathing was calculated and steady. I learned the rhythm of the contractions.

Each contraction came with its own unique intensity. Some were soft and others were fierce. I was amazed at my own strength. It seemed unreal.

I felt the most pain after my water broke. At that moment I lost it and almost gave up. My Doula was the greatest coach. She kept me calm and leveled. My future hubby gracefully comforted me and reassured me that I could do it.

The atmosphere of the birth and delivery room was peaceful and harmonious. The doctor, nurses and everyone involved worked together in unity. God was truly in the midst.

Looking back at my birthing experience leaves me in awe. God created women to endure one of the most rewarding experiences. Giving birth is truly a miracle. I am so happy that I got to experience child bearing the way God designed it. Giving birth is a beautiful encounter.

Natural birth helped me realize that there was nothing that I cannot do. The experience increased my faith and strengthened my relationship with God. During my weakest moments God took over. With God and the right people around me anything is possible. I am forever changed.
