God Knew…

Life will teach you so much if you remain a student. Over the past three weeks I have grown so much. Let me tell you why.

Within a week’s time my aunt and father passed away. Both deaths were on a Monday. Two of the most significant Mondays of my life. I will never forget it.

My aunt played a major role in my life. My mother and aunt were besties. She introduced my parents to each other and she was a big part of my childhood. I got the honor of getting to know her as an adult over the past few years. Her love and guidance pushed me to take my faith walk serious again and to get married. Her presence was a glowing light of Gods presence in the earth. She was loved by many and I was honored to know her.

My father was a great leader in the body of Christ. He did a lot for people and stayed true to his call. He would always say God made him a prophet to the nations. He always had so much to say about God and the call on his life. I learned a lot about God from my dad. His impact on people was unmatched. He didn’t care what people thought of him. He stayed true to his call in life.

As I morn their losses. I am learning a lot. One thing my aunt and dad had in common was God. They were the definition of “I understood the assignment” They both did what God called them to do and helped so many people.

I am encouraged to continue my journey. Doing the will of God is rewarding and I will cherish their example for the rest of my life. God knew the time and the hour of their departure. He also knew the push that I needed to go on.
