Who told you to put it down? Who told you that you were not good enough? Who told you to put it down? Who?
Why did you stop? What is stopping you now? Pick it back up!
Pick up the thing you put down again. Just because you put it down does not mean you can’t pick it up again. It’s still right there waiting for you to use it.
It… Meaning the gift that God gave you. pick it back up. I remember being a college student who changed my major three times. One of the majors I chose was music. I was a music major for one year. I remember these words from a family member. “You need to get you a real major that will get you a job.”
Those were piercing words that hit me hard. Then I believed it. I thought to myself; you know what, this person is right. I need to get a job and put that gift down. I will just sing at church when I can. So, guess what I did? I changed my major to business and got me a job.
I share this story because I’m the woman that put down gifts because of the lies that were told. The story above is just one example. There are so many other lies that were told. I tell the story above to help you come out of the lie(s). Who told you to put the gift down? It’s not too late to pick it back up! God can use anything to help his people. Your gifts are important to the body of Christ.
Accepting the lies becomes a cycle. Just like Eve was deceived in the garden. We can be easily thrown off our game too. Take a moment and think back to all the lies you have accepted and all the things you have put on pause. Pray and ask the Lord to help you pick it back up again. One thing at a time. Don’t over fill your hands. Allow God to help you carry it.
So, I encourage you. Search yourself and allow God to show you the lie and allow him to help you trust in Him again.
I’ve decide for picking back up again….
